Sikh organisations hail govt decision of holding DGPC elections

JAMMU, April 19:
Various Sikh Organization of the State have hailed the decision of the Coalition Government in the State for holding Districts Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (DGPC) elections in J&K.
A meeting of various Sikh Organization of J&K was held under the Chairmanship of Sudershan Singh Wazir Chairman J&K Sikh United Front and Ex-President J&K State Gurdwara Parbandhak Board.
In the meeting, the participants welcomed the Minister for Law, Parliamentary and Gurdwara Affairs Ali Mohd. Sagar, who convened a meeting of the high level officers to discuss the schedule of elections.
The Sikh Organization appealed the Govt to re-publish the new voter lists so that the new voters be inducted in the voter list for Gurdwara elections. The leaders Sikh organization has also appealed the Sikh Community to identify and elect the qualified, religious honest, have a good moral character with good Image in the society.
