| DCC demands immediate supply of seeds, fertilizers | | |

DISTRICT Congress Committee Rajouri in a meeting held under the chairmanship of its President discussed various problems of the people of the area and sought immediate attention of the district administration towards these problems.
The meeting felt that despite assessment by the Revenue Department about the losses suffered by the people due to last year’s earthquake, the compensation has not been paid to them so far.
Expressing concern over shortage of seeds and fertilizers in the district, the speakers at
the meeting impressed upon the government to provide adequate quantity of these
committees as the sowing season has started and the shortage of fertilizers and the
seeds are causing great problem to the farmers.
Addressing the meeting the DCC President demanded tehsil status for Manjakote and
Mogla besides up gradation of several High Schools and improvement in power and
drinking water supply. He appealed the party workers to be in touch with the people at
the grass roots level and bring their problems to the notice of the party high command for
immediate redressal.
Prominent among those who spoke included Azam Malik,Lalit Mahajan, Nisar Ahmed,
Rashid Kataria, Shakeel Mir, Bal Krishan Sharma and Iftiqar Hussain.
On this occasion, Mirza Alam and Choudhary Shafi joined the Congress party and
expressed full faith in the policies and programs of the party.
