| Umar for early completion of Swalakot project | | | Arnas Nov 16- Urging the State Government to take up work on Swalakot Hydro Project at the earliest, the National Conference President Omar Abdullah said that with the early completion the unemployment problem in the far-flung areas would be over come to a great extent. Addressing a public meetings at Arnas and Bagga today, the National Conference Chief expressed grave concern over the growing unemployment among the educated youth of the State, has impressed upon the government to tackle this issue on war footing as otherwise it would prove dangerous in near future. Alleging that the far- flung areas especially Gulabgarh, Mahore, Gool and Arnas have been neglected since the coalition government took over, the NC Chief said the coalition regime has been be-fooling people on double shift system and in this connection referred to the horrible condition of Arnas-Mahore road. He said there has been acute shortage of rations; power, water and the prices of essentials are soaring with every passing day and it has become very difficult for the common man to live his normal life. Abdul Gani Malik MLC and Abdul Wahid Shan ex-MLA also addressed the meetings and highlighted the peoples’ problems. Addressing the meeting Ajay Sadhotra Provincial President assured the people that the Party High Command would make all out efforts to mitigate the problems of the common people. Those present included Rattan Lal Gupta, Senior Vice President, Kashmira Singh and Abdul Samad.
