Fake employment racket busted, teacher among 2 held | | | JAMMU, Apr 19: Busting a fake employment racket, police today arrested two persons, including a government school teacher, in Poonch.Both of them allegedly cheated unemployed youth in Poonch by giving them fake assurances for providing them jobs in police and other government departments, police sources said. They were identified as Mohammad Aslam, son of Iqbal Khan of Guntarian in Haveli, Poonch, and Tarsem Singh, son of Krishan Singh of Upper Barnai. Aslam was a teacher in government higher secondary school, Islamabad.A cash of Rs 1,81,000, which they had collected from some unemployed youth, was also recovered from them, the sources added. Sources said the racket was busted after Javid Iqbal, son of Mohammad Hafeez of Qasba, Poonch, lodged a written complaint with Poonch police station on April 6 last that Aslam had taken Rs 80,000 from him for providing him a job in police department. Acting on the complaint, police picked up Aslam and Tarsem and recovered Rs 1.81 lakh from them. During their interrogation, they allegedly told police that they had cheated several unemployed youth and taken money from them for getting them adjusted in government departments, the sources added. A case under sections 420, 467, 468 and 471 of RPC was registered against him.
