Another title for police wrestler Benia

JAMMU, April 20: Young and promising wrestler of Jammu and Kashmir Police, Benia has won yet another title beating Sukha of Rajasthan in the main bout in 4th Annual Puria Kesari dangal played at Puria two-kilometers from Pouni in district Reasi.
Benia was presented a cash prize of Rs 7,000 as also Puria Kesari title by chief guest, president J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association, Shiv Kumar Sharma amidst cheering from the jam-packed crowd at Puria.
Runners-up of the main bout, Sukha was awarded Rs 5,000 by joint secretary of the Association, Sanjeev Sharma, who presided over the prize distribution function. Zonal Education Officer, Pouni, Krishan Lal and ex-Sarpanch, Ajit Kumar Kesar were among other special guests present.
The second main bout was won by Raja of Ajnala in Punjab, who beat Bobari of Shiv Mandir Akhara Jammu. A cash prize of Rs 3,000 was given to Raja while Rs. 2,500 awarded to Bobari. Third bout played between Dana of Dera Baba Nanak and Swarn Singh of Kot Bhawal ended in draw thus both the wrestler shared Rs 2,000 cash prize. Fourth main bout went to Sucha of Tarn Tarn beating Nabab of Delhi.
Puria Dangal Committee members and technical officals who helped in conduct of this dangal were retired Headmaster, Moti Ram, Nazir Ahmed, Devinder Kumar, Abdual Latif (Kaka), Ganesh Dass, Master Diwan Chand, Saber Mohd., Avtar Chand, Sanjeev Sharma, Capt. (Retd.) Lehar Singh and Allaha Mai (Ranga).
This day-long dangal was organised by Puria Dangal Committee Pouni in collaboration with J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association

Other Results : Dillar Khan of Jammu beat Krishan of Delhi; Sunny of Jammu beat Vijay of Delhi; Bahadur Khan of Nargada Jammu beat Vir Singh of J&K Police Reasi; Sunit Singh of Kalakot beat Vishal of Rajasthan; Baj Singh of Jammu beat Jameet Lal of CRPF; Gulshan Kumar of J&K Police beat Kala of Nargara; Prahald Singh of Kalakot beat Ali of Bani Basholi; Nabab of Delhi beat Naresh of Nargara; Anwar of Nargara beat Luv of Taran Tarn; Happy of Dera Baba Nanak beat Jamir Singh of Narkote. Bouts between Murad Ali of Jammu and Maana of Dera Baba Nanak and Jaswant of Rajasthan and Dillar Khan of Jammu ended in draw.
