NSUI demands scaling policy to be adopted by JK PSC | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Apr 20: National Students Union of India has demanded scaling policy to be adopted by JKPSC in J&K Combined Competitive Services Examination. Addressing a meeting of general students in Jammu University, state general secretary Arjun Singh Pathania said that JKPSC should adopt the policy of scaling to facilitate diversity in the selection process and to ensure equality among the students of all the streams. He also said that the policy has been applied by UPSC in IAS examinations and JKPSC should not feel any hesitation or delay in adopting the said policy. There is great dissatisfaction among the youth that only students belonging to few subjects were selected in JKPSC. In addition to this, there is great diversity in the approach of various subjects in the competitive examinations. Some subjects are difficult to be studied while others are easy. Even syllabi given by JKPSC vary from subject to subject. He therefore appealed JKPSC authorities to provide for scaling policy in the coming J&K Combined Competitive Examinations. Others those who were present in the meeting include JU President Sarbjit Singh Randhawa, Rai Arvinder Singh, State Secretary Chetan Misri, City President Abhimanyu Jamwal, state secretaries Sumit Kotwal, Sajjad Ahmed and JU Vice President Varun Dev Singh Jamwal.
