| POJK displaced persons observe jail Bharo Andolan | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Apr 20: POJK displaced persons from Chamb, Deva Watala, Manawar, Nah, Bhimber, Mirpur, Palandari, Kotli, Muzaffrabad observed Jail Baro Andolan at Tehsil level at Jammu, Akhnoor, R S Pura, Bishanah, Samba.
They observed Jail Baro Andolan against apathetic attitude of the State Govt towards their demand of comprehensive settlement.
The protesters including women who were protested in Jammu in response to Jail Baro Andolan call said that they were deprived of their basic rights for decades as successive governments in state as well as centre had assured for all rights including citizenship right but their assurances never saw the light of day.
The demands highlighted during the rally included immediate implementation of Wadhwa Committee report, permanent settlement, citizenship rights, compensation to displaced persons of 1947, 1965 and 1971 etc.
