Initiate action against SA for committing rape : ACS | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT KATHUA, April 20: The Anti Corruption Society (ACS) has sought intervention of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah in initiating action against the Senior Assistant Manohar Lal Sharma at present attached in Chief Education office Kathua who allegedly had committed rape and misappropriated official funds to the tune of Rs 1,15000 when he was posted at HSS Billawar. Addressing a press conference here today, national chairman Anti Corruption Society Kulbushan Khajuria demanded dismissal of Senior Assistant Manohar Lal who is still working at CEO office Kathua, after committing the rape with a widow when he was posted at HSS Billawar. He said that the Anti corruption Society found that Manohar Lal also misappropriated funds to the tune of 1,15000 and stolen school wood. Sharma alleged that under the threat of some influential people, neither the FIR was registered against the erring clerk nor the department initiated stern action against him. The department only suspended him after conducting the casual inquiry by a team comprising SDM Billawar, Tehsildar Billawar, CEO Kathua, principal of the HSS Billawar. ACS leader alleged that the team a also recovered 1,15000 from him. Anti Corruption Society urged the present CEO and CM Omar Abdullah to personally intervene in the matter.
