| Anantnag Police organized T-20 Cricket tournament | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
ANANTNAG, April 20: The Police Public T-20 Cricket tournament organized by Anantnag wing of JK Police started at Sports Stadium Anantnag, on Wednesday.
The event was inaugurated by Inspector General of Police S.M Sahi.
“The main purpose of the event is to infuse the concept of sportsmanship, team work and leadership in local youth,” Sahi said on the side lines of the tournament.
In the event around 27 teams are participating belonging to Anantnag town, Bijbehara, Kulgam Shangus, Verinag Doru, Mattan and other areas of District.
Amongst others who were present at inaugural function were Brigadier J. Nair 1 Sector RR, DIG South Kashmir, SSP Anantnag, DC Anantnag, Commanding Officer CRPF 96 BN, District Sports Officer. Meanwile CAPD department seized three vehicles on Wednesday at Verinag tool post, foiling a bid to smuggle sheep.
