ETTC examination commenced across state | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, April 20: The Elementary Teachers’ Training Course (ETTC) Examination of the Regular candidates Session 2009-11 of Jammu and Kashmir State Board of School Education was started today throughout the state. More than 425 examination centres have been constituted by the BOSE in which near about 45,000 students are appearing. Dr Sheikh Bashir Ahmad, Secretary, J&K Board of School Education accompanied by Dr Javed Iqbal Khatib, Joint Secretary, Secrecy along with the Board Vigilance squad inspected several examination centres and found that the examination is going on in a smooth and fair manner. No outside interference was noticed and the students have also shown their satisfaction regarding the question paper during interaction with them. However, after detecting cheating and other fraudulent ways being adopted by the candidates, some unfair means cases were framed by the Vigilance squad. Secretary BOSE, Dr Sheikh Bashir Ahmad h informed that in order to curb the menace of copying during the examinations, Board has constituted various vigilance squads both from BOSE and Education Department. Several precautionary measures have also been taken by the Board authorities during these examinations, he added Two question paper sets have been introduced to put down the rumours of paper leakage and to curb the copying menace, Ahmad said Board of School Education is committed to provide all the possible facilities to the student community and is working day and night for the betterment and uplifting of the standard of education, he added
