| Awareness camp of Fire Services Department concludes | | | Early Times Report
DODA, April 21: A week long awareness campaign, training and drill of Fire Services Department concluded in Doda district in which various tactics were taught to the students to deal with any critical situation caused by fire spreading..
This week long campaign during the fire safety week had been the training cum awareness period for the students of various schools which also included boys from Gujjar and Bakerwal hostel and girls from Doda.
They were taught about tactics to deal with any critical situation caused mainly by fire spreading. On the occasion station officer Fire Services Doda Walyaiat Hussain Goni threw light on the role of the fire tenders in the hours of crisis.
While addressing the students of Gujjar and Bakarwal Hostel girls and boys Doda , Goni said that purpose of observing this week is to make the people aware about immediate precautionary measures if fire breaks out mostly due to short circuit, bursting of gas cylinders or other electronic gadgets.
He said people in such cases should cooperate with the fire fighting personnel and help control the fire from spreading further. Goni informed that during the year Fire Safety and evacuation drills will be carried out in 200 schools of the state for which special equipment “Fire Tutors” have been procured by the department. A mock drill in this respect was also held on the occasion.
