CS reviews Durbar Move arrangements | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, April 21: Chief Secretary, Madhav Lal today asked all the heads of move Departments to ensure that their Departments are ready with records on the day Darbar opens at Srinagar. He said the advance parties being dispatched by various Departments should be directed to see that the records are intact, telephone lines are working and IT facility is restored by May 09, the day when offices re open at Srinagar. Chairing a review meeting to oversee the arrangements for the coming Durbar Move, the Chief Secretary impressed upon the Administrative Secretaries to sensitise the advance parties of their Departments about their responsibilities. Chief Secretary directed the Estates Department to provide appropriate office space to the newly created Human Resource branches set up in some of the Departments. He also directed the IT Department to provide necessary IT software support to these branches so that they can start their job quickly. The Chief Secretary also directed setting up of a well equipped video conferencing room at Civil Secretariat, Srinagar. The meeting also took stock of security, sanitation, transport, water supply issues of the Darbar Move employee. The meeting, among others, was attended by Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, B B Vyas, Principal Secretary, Housing, Suresh Kumar, Commissioner-Secretary, Power, Basharat Dar, Commissioner-Secretary, GAD, M S Khan, Commissioner-Secretary, CA&PD, Pradeep Gupta, Secretary, IT, M K Dwivedi and other officers.
