| Timely compensation should be given to the cocoon rearers: Radhay Sham Sharma | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, April 21: Radhay Sham Sharma, M.L.A and senior leader of National Conference from Nowshera Constituency through a statement released has urged upon Ghulam Hassan Mir, Minister Agriculture & Sericulture Development Department for issuing directions to the concerned authorities for immediately sending teams of experts from Sericulture Department for visiting both the blocks of Nowshera and Sunderbani.
He has stated that on the spot survey of the losses/ damages done to the Cocoons crops in the Nowshera Constituency due to the recent unexpected rains should be done as it has badly affected the cocoons crop giving set back to the poor Cocoons rearers.
Rearing cocoons is the major source of income for the majority of the framers in Nowshera. He also urged that team of experts should be directed to submit their assessment/ survey reports earliest to their Administration Department for taking remedial measures timely and also for paying the compensations to all the affected Cocoons rearers/ farmers of Nowshera constituency.
Sharma urged upon District Administration Rajouri for deputing teams to Nowshera constituency immediately for making survey and assessments of losses done to the present wheat crop due to recent unexpected rains and hail storms.
