| DDC Ramban stresses to accelerate work of ongoing projects | | | Early Times Report
RAMBAN, April 21: Shabir Ahmad, KAS, District Development Commissioner, Ramban held a meeting of the District/ Sectoral officers of District Ramban in Conference Hall, New District Complex, Maitra, Ramban and reviewed the physical and financial progress under various sectors for the period ending March 2011.
The sectoral officers also apprised the DDC, about the issues related to their departments to sought-out the redressal of the same as well. During the review it was observed that the departments like PWD, Power, PHE, Self-Employment, Horticulture, PMGSY, Social Forestry, Forest, Fisheries, Handicrafts, Urban Development have registries 100% expenditure while others have registered 95- 99% expenditure in respect of releases made during the year 2010-11.
Against the total availability of Rs. 5831.22 lacs, the expenditure has been registered to the extent of Rs. 5776.19 lacs which works out 99.06
The DDC, Ramban laid stress on the Sectoral officers to accelerate the construction/completion of the on-going projects/works during the current financial year utilizing the resources made available to the extent of 25 % of last year’s approved allocations and their execution / implementation should suffer in any case.
The DDC further stressed that the model code of conduct imposed in connection with holding of Panchayat elections should be followed by all the sectoral /district officers and their sub-ordinates staffs in letter and spirit and no officer / official shall proceed on leave, training / tour without seeking prior approval of the district panchayat election officer.
