| DM imposes traffic restrictions on Domail-Katra road | | | UDHAMPUR, NOV 16
For early completion of widening work on Katra-Domail road being carried out by the GREF authorities under the Prime Minister's Reconstruction Programme, the District Magistrate, Udhampur, Mr. O.P. Kalndria has ordered traffic restrictions on the said road to reduce the inflow of traffic enabling the GREF to complete widening work within stipulated time.
According to the order, all vehicular traffic coming to Katra from Jammu or Udhampur side shall use Domail-Katra road to reach Katra and the out-going traffic from Katra to ply on Katra-Panthal-Tikri road. However, light vehicles going towards Jammu may take route of Panthal-Shrine Board University road, while other heavy vehicles shall be diverted towards Tikri.
The order shall take effect from November 22, 2006 and would remain in force till December 5, 2006 during day time i.e. from 7 A.M. to 6 P.M.
