| Sericulture Department holds awareness camp for cocoon farmers | | |

Sericulture Department Kathua in collaboration with Social Welfare
Department organized an awarness camp for Silk Worm rearers at Dungara in Tehsil Billawar. MLA Billawar, Dr. Manohar Lal Sharma presided.
District Social Welfare Officer, Kathua informed the rural women about the schemes being launched by the Social
Welfare Department for the upliftment of weaker sections of the society.
During the camp it was disclosed that the Sericulture department is providing part time jobs to the Silk worms rearing farmers.
The Department has distributed 110508 quintals seed and recorded 43785 Kgs cocoon production.
