| DDC Doda reviews construction of stadium | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
DODA, April 22:
District Development Commissioner (DDC) Doda Farooq Ahmed Khan visited Sports Stadium Doda to review its ongoing construction work in connection with the coming All India 7th Gufran Memorial T-20 Cricket Championship 2011 which is going to be held in next month.
Khan inspected the site on the invitation of Young Star Cricket Club (YSCC) Doda,
While interacting with the DDC, the members of YSCC put forth several demands before him which include immediate levelling and fencing of ground.
The members appealed the DDC Doda to start the double shift work of ground so that it may be completed with in stipulated timeframe.
Patron YSCC Manzoor Ahmed Batt asked the DDC that the construction work is going on for the last six years but it is yet to be completed.
DDC Doda Khan directed the concerned Executive Engineer and AEE JKPCC Parshotam Singh to make the ground for playing condition for the coming national level championship.
DDC lauded the efforts of YSCC and revealed that with these events in the area would boost up the tourism potential as District Doda itself is known for tourism destination.
