JAMMU, April 22:
Expressing concern over recent “cash for vote” incident in Legislative Council elections, PDP Mahila wing president Shanti Devi has said that people of Jammu have lost their faith on the BJP.
Addressing a meeting, Devi discussed the present political scenario of province and said that the ‘cash for vote’ scam involving the BJP MLAs has totally discouraged the people who voted for the party in the 2008 elections.
She said that it is high time that common people should rise against the corruption which has become a major challenge for the state as government is itself involved in it.
Others who spoke on the occasion include, Bimal Billoria, Sudesh Sharma and Pushpa Devi.
