SP (Hqr) conducts citizens meet

JAMMU, April 22:

The SP Headquarter Shailender Singh conducted Police Citizens Meeting in the border area villages of BPP Sai and Kothey Kalyan. During the meetings more than 100 citizens participated in each meeting including ladies, Youths and students.
Addressing citizens SP said that the SHO Arnia Arjun Singh Chib has launched a special drive against drug addiction, illicit liquor and eve teasing in the area and the persons found involved in this practice is booked under relevant sections of law.
Moreover, the participants have been advised to launch an awareness camps in the area and the youths who are found involved in such practice be made members of youth clubs for diversion of their attention.
The speakers demanded that there should be better relations between Police and Public. Most of the citizens demanded that basic amenities like Ration, Kerosene Oil, Gas Cylinder etc are not been supplied sufficiently.
In response to the points raised by the speakers, SP assured that action shall be taken accordingly on ground level by the Police, as and when anything comes to its notice without any loss of time.
After conclusion of the meeting, SP Shailender Singh visited the house of one Rattan Lal Caste Bhagat of Kothey Kalyan whose roof of the house had collapsed recently resulting therein death of housewife.
Police has assured the family for reconstruction of his house and admission of small kids in the School. Two small ailing kids will be got medically checked up and medicine will be ensured. In addition to this the damaged basic amenities of the household will also be provided by the local police.
