HM to issue fresh notification | Dogra certificate row | | New-Delhi: The Union Home Ministry has decided to give relaxation in eligibility criteria in recruitment in para-military forces to the entire state of Jammu Kashmir, informed sources said. The chairman of the hard line Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Geelani had threatened agitation if the order to issue Dogra certificate to Jammu residents was not withdrawn by April 30. Sources said the threat forced the government to amend the order. A fresh notification is expected soon, sources said. As per the earlier order only Dogras, Kumaons, Narwhals, Ladakhis, Kashmiris and Marathas were eligible for relaxation in the form of chest and height 10 cm in height and 2 cm in chest in paramilitary forces.
