Payments were made to forty five owners in presence of Ujjagar Singh, Tehsildar, Mahore and cheques worth Rs 7,30,782/- were distributed by the Army authorities. This has fulfilled the long outstanding demand of the dhok and land owners who had to earlier receive the payment through the civil administration. The Army authorities processed the long outstanding cases with the DC Reasi and Def Estate Officer, Udhampur and brought a sigh of relief to these dhok and land owners. Another event organized by the Rashtriya Rifles which was appreciated by all was distribution of toys and stationery to twenty orphan children from remote villages of Mahore Tehsil. Mr Musthaq Ahmed of Village Budhan who is running a self help group and looking after orphanage children was overwhelmed with the passion shown by the Army which has been regularly distributing stationary and books for the children.
