| DEO Budgam suspends 26 employees | | |

Budgam, April 22:
The District Election Officer, Budgam pending enquiry today ordered the immediate suspension of 26 officers/officials who were found absent from election duty during phase 3rd yeterday. The suspended officials are 2 lecturers, 2 headmasters, 17 masters/teachers/Ret’s/Pet’s and 5 ministerial cadre.
Taking strong note of the irresponsible attitude of the officers, the District Election Officer warned all officers/officials drafted for polling duty for next 5 phases to ensure compliance of the orders falling which disciplinary action for dereliction of duty shall follow under rules and under election law.
