Painting competitions, Symposiums mark World Earth Day Celebrations

KATHUA 22.APRIL,
Various functions, competitions today marked the celebrations of World Earth Day in different schools here today .
Tiny Scholars High School:- on the eve of Earth day Tiny Scholars High School along with State pollution control board organized a Symposia on the topic “SAVE EARTH” Sh. Sanjay Rathore Distt. Officer SPCB was Chief Guest, Smt Sunita Rani Scientist and Pankaj Chadda was guest of honour. The worthy guests were honoured by principal by presenting Bouquet. The function was started with the lightening of lamp and Earth worship by Chief Guest, Guest of honour and Principal Tiny Scholars High School Smt Manisha Gupta. A total of twenty students participated in the symposia and expressed their views to save the earth enthusiastically. The contestants stressed on decreasing the content of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and planting more and more trees to maintain the ecological balance on the earth. Surbi and Ridima, who were also the contestants, anchored the symposia in very systematic manner. The views expressed by the contestants were appreciated by all the audience and the guests. Sanjay Rathore in his speech told the importance of the earth day.. Smt Manisha Gupta in her address stressed upon the planting of trees and advised the students to celebrate their birth day by planting a tree. She said that the Earth day campaign aims to combat climate change by driving substantive behavioral change and channel quantifiable action on behalf of the environment.
IPS Kidzee: on the occasion organized a marvelous programme of slogan writing/poster making inter house competition was conducted for the celebration of Earth Day at IPS Kidzee kathua. The programme was started with an English speech by Anuradha of Std. 7th, Hindi speech by Atavika of Std. 4th and after that Miss Renu gave a speech about Earth Day. All the students showed great enthusiasm throughout the whole competition. The aim behind this competition is to make aware all the students of IPS Kidzee about the importance of Earth. After that Suman Tiwari principal, Kidzee addressed with a speech and prizes were distributed among the students. Kidzee always admire and appreciate the talent of kids.
Ashoka College of education: today conducted a painting competition. The students participated in the competition with great enthusiasm. They expressed their thoughts about the earth day through their painting. They chose the theme like movement to save trees, conservation of natural recourses, deforestation etc. they gave the massage to the people through their painting. The chief guest chairman Ashoka College of education sh. Kamal gupta appreciated the students and ask the question to theme related to their painting.
