Rajat bags under-17, under-19 chess titles | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, April 23: Rajat Bhardwaj emerged most successful clinching both under-17 and under-19 titles in two-day Junior State Chess Championship, organised by All J&K Chess Association at Hotel Nek, here today. In both the events, Rajat secured 4.5 points out of five rounds he played today. However, young Chatanya, who also obtained same 4.5 points in both the events, was declared second considering progressive score. Third place in under-19 category went to Rohit Bhardwaj with four points while Danish and Pranav were joint third securing four points each. Similarly, in under-17 category, Danish and Pranav got four points each to share third place. Meanwhile, according to the Association president, Atul Gupta, competition in under-15 boys’ category and girls’ events shall take place tomorrow at same venue.
