| “ Aik Saal Baad’ performed in Friday series | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu Apr 23: A theatrical piece that revolved around a suspended army personnel and the editor of a newspaper formed the gist of the Friday play series initiated by Nav Durga Kala Manch.
The play entitled as “ Aik Saal Baad ’ written by Shashi Bhushan contained the core theme of a suffering of a suspended Army man ho undergoes the trauma on being reported by a newspaper to have entered into an illegal deal which leaves him terminated through the services.
The serviceman is seen frequenting the office of the editor who tells him to come back after one year to get his case straightened.
The idea conceived in the play pivoted on the present scenario of the circumstances where the innocent are left to pay the price of follies not committed by them and the media reporting it otherwise to make news out of nothing.
Aaditya Bhanu as Army personnel and Reetu Manhas as the editor portrayed their roles with clinical perfection. Both deserved kudos for their task.
The play was directed by Aaditya Bhanu and assisted by dilshad. Make up was done by Komal and lights by Sandeep Mehra.
