KATHUA, Apr 23: Candidates are filing their nomination papers for the Panchayat elections with great pump and show along with their supporters at Kathua.
Gurcharan Singh (Billa) filed the nomination form for Sarpanch of the Panchayat Taraf Sanji Kathua along with his large number of supporters. On the other hand, from Panchayat Govindsar, a woman candidate Devo Bandral also submitted her nomination file in the retuning office at Govindsar alongwith her supporters. On the occasion, Devo Bandral said that to play an effective and productive role to carry out the development and to protect democratic rights of the people, Panchayat empowerment by conducting the Panchayat election is most important factor and step of any democratic government.
