Housing board employees extend support to Apr 26 protest | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Apr 23: All J&K Housing Board Employees Association has decided to support the April 26 protest call against government given by Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC). Addressing a meeting, secretary general of association Suman Sharma alleged that despite repeated assurances government has failed to solve their issues which include implementation of 6th Pay Commission Report. He said that housing board management has always befooled the employees who have been denied their rights. Participants condemned the attitude of the officials who have always derailed any attempt to provide justice to the people. Sharma said that management has adopted anti-employees policy and had never honoured its commitment forcing them take path of agitation. He also demanded that government should release the full arrears of 6 Pay Commission in two equal installments as demanded by other worker unions in the state, regularization of all Daily Rated Workers and increasing the age of retirement from 58 to 60 years. Sharma has appealed to all the employees of J&K Housing Board to observe two days total strike on April 26 in support of their demands. Those who attended the meeting included Bal Krishan Sharma, senior vice president, Suman Lata, Atul Sharma, AriJ Kumar, Tarsem Singh, Rakesh Kumar, Rajesh Kumar, Durga Dutt, Jugal Kusher, Jagdish Raina, Kanchan Kumari, Sham Singh, Joginder Singh, Ashok Kumar, Shankar Das, Kusam Lata, Ranjeet Singh and others.
