| National leaders visit again...... damage control exercise? | | | In what can be seen as an exercise to prevent further damage within the party post cross voting episode, the national leaders of BJP including national general secretary JP Nadda and co in charge party affairs RP Singh reached Jammu today to give follow up instructions to the state leadership.
Upon their arrival though these leaders held a formal meeting with the senior leaders of BJP and office bearers , sources said the main purpose of their second visit in less than a weeks times is ascertain the mood and overall situation as far as the party affairs and functioning is concerned. This had become imperative in the wake of the demoralization within rank and file of the party cadres post cross voting issue erupted.
Jagat Prakash Nadda, while addressing the meeting, said that the party has always expressed concern over what happens in J&K.
Terming the recent developments in the state after April 13 Legislative Council Election as unfortunate, Nadda said that the party high command took a decision which was necessary for the organization under the constitution and .emphasized on the need to approach the workers and people in present turmoil. "Some time some decisions are to be taken by the party with a heavy heart in the interests of the organization", Nadda said while referring to action against the guilty MLAs. Even as the focus was to ascertain the situation in J&K unit, the leadership gave instructions to the state unit not to stop their routine activities instead visit the BJP constituencies to explain to the people the implications of the decision taken by the high command.
