| Khudkushi’, a new Urdu play staged in Natrang’s Sunday theatre. | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT

Sadat Hasan Manto’s Urdu play ‘Khudkushi’ was staged here at Natrang Studio Theatre, in Sunday Theatre series. The play was directed by Neeraj Kant. The play revolves around a plot which is so instinctive and obvious that may surround as a thick dark cloud on anyone’s wisdom. In a very satirical manner the play preaches optimism which is its real strength.
When the Play opens, a girl is mourning the death of her lover. She thinks it as the end of the world and gets so upset that she decides to commit suicide. Later girl changes her mind and realises that how important the life is? The play is a satire on all those who are incapable to face the challenges of life and commit suicide.
The cast of the play include Niharika Sharma, Kritika Sharma, Balwinder Singh, Sakshi Prakash and Dheeraj Singh. The music was operated by Aatish Gupta and the lights were executed by Mohit Sharma. Mohd. Yaseen coordinated the show. Sumeet Sharma did the presentations.
