Will promote transparency in administration: 2001 CCS officers

JAMMU, APRIL 24: The Combined Civil Services officers of 2001 batch today held a get together at Ritz hotel to discuss matters of common concern and promote the spirit of friendship.
Various issues of public interest as well as matters related to the administration came up for discussion during the day long interaction. The officers resolved to work in the interest of society and promote public-administration interface at all levels.
It was unanimously decided to launch a facebook ID as KAS 2001 and google group under the same nomenclature to foster coordination and prop up unity amongst the batch mates. Internet communication is a must among the members for mutual professional growth and career advancement, the meeting felt.
The meeting decided to meet quarterly and accordingly the next date for similar interaction was tentatively fixed on July 24 in Srinagar. The officers would also meet on 2nd last Sunday on each Darbar move.
The officers pledged to work in the interest of public and deliver the services to the best satisfaction of masses through promotion of transparency and ethics in the administration. In this pursuit, they resolved to benchmark accessibility and expeditious disposal in the delivery of public services.
The officers, who are now manning vital middle rung administrative posts shared their experiences and put forth suggestions for leading successful civil service career.
They also observed two- minute silence in memory of two colleagues, who have passed away and expressed solidarity with their family members.
