Providing employment to youth priority of govt: Chib | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, April 24: Minister for Medical Education, R S Chib today said that the coalition government is according high priority in finding employment opportunities for the youth of the state in diverse fields emerging in vibrant India. The Minister was speaking at the closing ceremony of first batch of free residential coaching programme for IAS and KAS aspirants organized by Ascent Group. The group is a social enterprise headed by former Chairman, JKPSC Mohammad Shafi Pandit aiming to develop human capital in the state with a focus on enhancing employability through coaching, counselling and mentoring. Chib said that such programmes would surely get talented youth of the state placed in the administrative echelons of the country. The Minister said the need of the hour is to give vocational training to large number of educated youth under the skilled development program launched by Prime Minister. He said the Government is giving high priority to remove bottlenecks in the implementation process of this scheme in the State. Political Advisor to the Chief Minister, Devender Rana, lauded the valuable contributions of Ascent towards improving governance by Mohammad Shafi Pandit during his long and distinguished career as a member of the IAS, both in the State as well as at the Centre. He stated that Pandit has been continuing to put his best step forward in the interest of society even after his retirement.
