| Adbi Kunj holds special literary meet | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Apr 24: Adbi Kunj organized a special literary-cum-social function and" Mehfil-e-Mushaira at K. L. Saigall Hall to pay tributes to Dr. Lal Chand Gupta, an eminent social reformer, intellectual and philanthropist on his birth anniversary.
Pritpal Singh Betab a noted Urdu poet was the chief guest while Noor Shah a renowned Urdu novelist and short story writer and Sohail Kazmi an eminent journalist were the guests of honour. Function was presided over by Anand Lehar, a veteran Urdu writer. Proceedings were conducted by Sham Talib, President Adbi Kunj who at the outset gave brief introduction of the Guests in the Presidium.
He as well as Ravi Rohmetra read papers describing late Dr. L. C. Gupta as a great son of the soil who had dedicated his life for the upliftment of the poor. Proceedings of the Mushaira were conducted by Susheel Begana Secretary Adbi Kunj who at the outset gave brief introduction of the Guests.
Various speakers in the presidium described late Dr. L. C. Gupta as a great son of the soil who had dedicated his life for the uplift of the poor and always believed in service of humanity. This was followed by a “Mehfil -e- Mushaira" in which the various poets who recited their poems, ghazals, songs etc. included Muni Lal Puri, Amin Bnihali, Rajeshwar Bhakri, Tayyab Bharti, K. L. Deewana, Dr. Bharat Bhushan , Rajiv Kumar, Aet.ar Krishen Ganjoo Sahar Ganderbali, ushil Begana, M. S. Karma, Reshama Kaur, Amin Sabunia, M. S. Waffa, Gyaneshwar Sharma, Santosh Nadaan, K.K. Shakir, R,. S. Raipuria, Romesh Rahi, pyarey Hatash, B. L. Sharma, Dr. Ram Pal Sharma, and Sham Talib. Dharmesh Nargotra recited two songs on the life bf late L. C. Gupta.
