An army jawan committed suicide under mysterious circumstances while on guard in Ramban early Friday morning,official sources said.
Sher Singh of 23 RR reportedly committed suicide with his service weapon early Friday morning, official sources said adding that an inquiry has been ordered.
Sources also confirmed that Sher Singh had joined his duty a week ago after he returned from vacation. It may be mentioned that recent incidents of fragging and suicides by army men had raised an alarm among Army top brass and they had decided to rush immediate psychiatric help to unit located in remote areas to ease pressure on jawans and ascertain cause of stress driving jawans to such extreme steps.
