Development of backward areas received considerable fillip: Javid
Counts one year’s achievements of Azad-led Govt

Jammu, Nov 17
President Municipal Committee Bhadarwah Mr. Javid Iqbal said on Thursday that a new era of progress and socio-economic development has emerged in the state during the last one year governance by Chief Minister Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad led government.
He said historic decisions for peace initiative, administrative reforms, creation of work culture, war against corruption and launching of massive programme for infrastructure development have been taken to carry forward the state towards prosperity. He said enactment of laws regarding downsizing of ministry, anti-corruption measures, anti-defection and constitution of finance commission are yet another feather in the cap of Mr. Azad whose dynamism, initiatives, drive and sincerity for public cause have laid conspicuous imprints on the horizon of socio-political development of the state.
Referring to the development measures initiated in Doda district during past one year, Mr.Javid said works like widening of Doda-Bhadarwah road, beautification of Bhadarwah town, construction of tourist infrastructure, school buildings, Bhadarwah-Chamba, Bhadarwah-Basohli, Bhadarwah-Jai and Bhadarwah-Sharekhi roads are significant steps in the road connectivity programme and town development. He said Bhadarwah university campus and industrial training institute complexes are landmark achievements of last one year. Mr. Javid said that earmarking of Rs 20 crore for development of Bhadarwah town, Rs 11.50 crore for mega PHE schemes, showcasing the area for tourists and creation of tourism development authority are going to provide wide-ranging benefits to the people.
He said launching of employment generation scheme, establishment of trout fish farm, setting up of power receiving stations besides initiating various measures to boost agriculture, horticulture, small scale industries, tourism and education in the backward district of Doda are highly welcome steps of the government taken during last one year.
