| VKMI holds geneal body meeting, elects S K Jain as new president | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu April 25:-
Vichar Kranti Manch International, a socio-spiritual voluntary organization organized its general body meeting under the presidentship of Dr K C Dubey president of the organization in which the participants elected the new with president for the next office term.
During the meeting the three names were nominated for the post of the president of the Manch viz. Dr Usha Tickoo, Ram rattan Sharma and S K Jain. However two nominees namely Dr Tickoo and Ram Rattan Sharma withdrew their names in support of the third contestant S K Jain who was declared elected unopposed as president of Manch.
S Harjinder Singh the Election Commissioner, declared the results and also informed the gathering that newly elected president Mr Jain shall be authorized to elect the other office bearers of the organization.
Further to mention that the gathering also resolved to amended the constitution of organization and brought few amendments for making the organizations more vigour to work for the cause of the people.
The prominent among those present included Dr RR Khajuria founder of VKMI, Madan Mohan Sharma, Ram Rattan Sharma, I D Soni, Dr Usha Tickoo, Dr Gurmeet Singh, Sureshta Khajuria, A K Pangotra Bhagwan Dass and others who welcomed the new president and hoped that he will lead the organization to new heights. They also appreciated the tenure of the outgoing president Dr K C Dubey.
Earlier D K Sharma Treasurer VKMI presented the report of the accounts and expenditure 2010-11 to the house which was approved unanimously by the members. Outgoing president Dr K C Dubey read out the detailed report of the activities undertaken by the VKMI during 2010-11 which included its struggle against corruption in civil society and demand of making State Accountability Commission functional.
