Sericulture employees reject separate directorates | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, April 25: The employees of the Sericulture department have rejected the proposed move of the government to have separate directorates for Jammu and Kashmir regions. In a meeting of All Sericulture Employees Union, held here today under the presidentship of Sericulture Employees Union Bashir Ahmed Waza, the members expressed concern over the proposal. They held threadbare discussion regarding the government’s proposal to bifurcate Sericulture department, J&K with separate directorates instead of the present system of single head of the department for both provinces. The members expressed their concerns over the move and said that it seems that there is a malafide intention of higher ups to give the benefits to their near and dears from SKUAST. It was unanimously decided that such type of proposal will prove a great threat to sericulture department. The members said that the Government should reconsider the proposal before initiating any action in this regard. The union of employees is satisfied with the present system of functioning of the department running under the able guidance of well versed director.
