Suraj’s condition deteriorates as his protest enters 3rd day | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, April 25: The condition of President Blind Council, Suraj Singh, pursuing LL M, deteriorated today as his fast unto death protest entered its third day. Suraj Singh’s protest, however, still remain unnoticed as no one from government approached him so far Singh is sitting on fast unto death for the demands of blinds which shall benefit several lives of blind community of J&K State. Standing in support of Suraj Singh, the vice president of Young Panthers Pushvinder Singh, assured full solidarity with him. Addressing a gathering of NPSU members, Singh said that if government continues this callous and irresponsible attitude towards this issue then this peaceful movement may change into a revolt against the autocratic government. Several political leaders, members of civil society and large number of students visited Suraj and assured him their whole-hearted support in this movement. Prominent personalities who visited Singh include Anita Thakur and HC Jalmeria state General Secretaries of JKNPP, Shanker Singh Chib Distt President Jammu Rural, Kamal Singh Distt Vice President Jammu, Gulcharan Singh Distt. Gerneral Secretary, Lovejeet Singh Jimmy President Swami Vivekananda Youth Club Jammu University, Suresh Sharma, Ranjeet Sharma, Mahesh Kaul of Sangarsh and Bhanu Partap. Suraj Singh today reassured that he will continue with his pledge of fighting for the rights of the blind students until his death.
