| Police to set up intelligence training school | | | JAMMU, Nov 17 Jammu and Kashmir police has decided to set up an intelligence training school at Jammu where police personnel will be imparted training on the subject of collecting intelligence inputs about the militancy related activities in the state. Quoting informed sources, a news agency in Jammu has said that in view of the stepped up militancy related violence, imparting training to police personnel on collecting intelligence inputs about militant activities has become inevitable. The decision has been taken after consultation with the State Government will start functioning from a building presently housed by Counter Intelligence Department (CID) in Jammu. Formal inaugural ceremony will be held very soon. The focus of the training will be on the collection of intelligence inputs about the activities of militants and the mode of communication they use for establishing contacts between themselves. The training on detecting contacts between militants through inter net and wireless phone will be also imparted to police personnel during the course of this specialized training program. The school is one of its first kind set up any where in India.
