| Jungal talk and walk from Mansar to Parmandal held | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Apr 25: Ayurved Utthan Mandal (AUM) and Youth Hostels Association of India (YHAI) along with Van Sampda today organised Jungal Talk and Walk from Mansar to Parmandal.
During 16 kilometer long Jungal tree talk and walk trek expedition, a good number of school children and villagers interacted with trekkers at different places. Trek started from Mansar then passing through Lotaly, Chaned nala, Chaned, Sarail,Brail Mata and Padal reached Parmandal in the evening.
Dr. O.P Sharma Vidiarthi IFS noted environmentalist and author of 35 books on flora and fauna led the trekkers and made participants aware about the medicinal values of the plants of the area. Living encyclopedia of plants of J&K State Dr. Vidiyarthi encouraged the participants and enlightened them about the ecological value of Jungal.
Director Floriculture Jammu K.K.Sharma during the trek expedition educated participants and villagers about the importance of the plants. Davinder Sharma, Dr. Taran Singh, Dr. Rajinsh Sharma, Dr. K.L.Kapoor, Dr. Vishnu and DFO of the area were the important participant among the 15 participants of the Jungle Tree Talk and Walk.
