| ARO suspended for alleged tampering in voter lists at Mahore | | |
KATRA, Apr 25: Assistant returning officer (ARO) for panchayat elections in ward No 3 at Lower Sharah near Angrala in Mahore, Reasi, was today placed under suspension as he was alleged to have
tampered with election symbols of candidates.
ARO, deputy director (sericulture) Bhajan Singh was suspended by Reasi deputy commissioner P K Pole.
Pole said the ARO was suspended following alleged tampering of election symbols of candidates by him.
It was, however, yet to be ascertained if the fault was due to a printing error , or it was the handiwork of Singh.The ARO was also alleged to have changed the reserved status of
ward No 1 at Angrala and showed another ward as reserved for scheduled caste/scheduled tribe.
