GEJC appreciates employees for observing one day strike | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Apr 26: Government Employees Joint Action Committee (GEJAC) has appreciated employees across Jammu and Kashmir for observing one day pen down strike against the refusal of government to meet demands of employees. In a handout issued here today, the committee has said that strike throughout Jammu Province was successful and complete. They added that one day strike was also observed in Srinagar Division. Handout maintains that employees are aggrieved of the indifferent attitude of the government regarding consideration of the demands which include Release of 6th pay commission arrears in cash in two equal installments and issuance of regularization orders in favour of consolidated, contractual, Adhoc and daily wage employees who have completed seven years service. Leaders Jaswant Singh, Sushil Sudan, Ganesh Khajuria, Subhash Verma, Suresh Sharma, Gafoor Dar, Satish Sharma, Amrik Singh,Ravi Singh Bhau, Joginderpal (PSU), Prem Singh Bawa, Suman Sharma, Sawaran Singh, Darshan Sharma, Mrs. C.K. Sudan, Satish Dutta, Jarnail Khokhar , Jagdish Khokhar, Sukhbir Singh, Anil Mehta, Surjit Singh, A.K. Tandon, Amrik Singh Sasan, Uttam Chand , Purshotam Sharma, Vinod Sharma, Maheswar Parshad and Munir Husain addressed employees. Leaders complimented the cadre of the GEJAC, employees and workers of the government/PSUs and sympathizers of the programme. It was however, again appealed to the government to be rational and consider demands so as not to force the state employees to come on roads for the demands. , All the employees of the entire government department organized one day protest dharna under the banner of Joint Action Committee at kathua in favour of their long pending genuine demands. During the protest dharna all the government offices were closed and handicapped and no work was seen there. The leaders of the committee general secretary of Joint Action Committee unit kathua Surjeet Singh, Balkar Singh, Manohar Singh Baldev Singh, Ramesh Singh’s Surinder Kumar, Pawan Kumar and etc said that main demands are to pay the all dues of six pay commission, to regularize all the daily wagers, R-E-Z agriculture technocrats, and contractual employees, to remove the pay anomalies, to release the inflation allowance, and to increase the age from 58 to 60 years of the employees of the Jammu and Kashmir. They said that the state coalition regime has adopted its undemocratic and brutal approach towards the employees which has become the most popular and serious concern of every person of the state. |
