| Two held for illicit liquor trading | | |

Continuing its drive against the menace of distillation of illicit liquor and its clandestine sale, the Border Police Jammu under the supervision of SSP Border and SDPO R S Pura, have raided a number of locations and seized a large quantity of Lehan and other material used for preparation of liquor.
During raids, the raiding party arrested Harnam Singh son of Devi Singh resident of Kotli and Ashok Kumar son of Rattan Lal resident of Khour Deonian. Nearly 600 litres of Lehan, 40 kg of Gur, 15 kg of Barak Kikkar, 15 kg of Plastic gallon with Lehan, three barrels, one gas cylinder and one Gas Bhatti were seized from their possession.
A case FIRNO 116/06 under section 48-E of Excise Act has been registered in this regard in Police Station R S Pura.
