| Aman Jyoti Yatra concludes | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, April 26: The innovative peace mission undertaken by Ace of Spades division finally reached Nagrota after six days tour starting from Poonch. To mark the culmination occasion, participants handed over the Aman Jyoti and Memorandum of Peace to Lt Gen JP Nehra, AVSM, GOC White Knight Corps.
40 highly motivated youth from the terrorism affected villages of Poonch, Mendhar, Rajouri and Nowshera participated in the 314 Km long rally started on April 20 this month.
In the closing ceremony, a number of colourful cultural events by various school children and adventure activities by Army enthralled a huge audience.
Speaking on the occasion, Lt Gen Nehra lauded the splendid endeavor by the Ace of Spades Division to integrate the youth of border regions into the mainstream of the state. The GOC exhorted the youth to spread the spirit of the Aman Jyoti to all corners of the State and defeat the nefarious designs of extremists.
