EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, April 26: The 20-member state team named for the Santosh Trophy by Jammu and Kashmir Football Association (JKFA) today called on the Minister for Sports, R S Chib at latter’s residence, here. Minister appreciated the Association for making efforts for the promotion of the most loved game in Jammu and Kashmir. He also shared the different projects being formulated by the government for improving the existing sports infrastructure at the district level. The team shall be leaving for the venue on May two and shall play the inaugural league match against Kerela on May six. Among others who were present included Commissioner Secretary, S Runyal, Secretary State Sports Council, JP Singh, president JKFA, Zamir Thakur, Sidharth Sharma, Surinder Singh Bunty and SS Bali. The Team: Wasim Feroze (captain), Vikramjeet Singh (vice-captain),Vinay Kumar, Aman Thapa, Anus Gill, Manmohan Singh, Tanpreet Singh, Mansoor Ahmed, Khalid Qayoom, Azhar Ali, Wasim Yusuf, Mukhtar Sadiq, Rizwan Shafi, Shahnawaz Bashir, Vishal Kumar, Mohd. Yaseen, Hardeep Singh, Nazir Ahmed, Ali and Riyaz Ahmed. Prem singh is accompanying the team as team coach and Muzaffar Ahmed as team Manager.
