JAMMU, April 26:
J&K Kranti Dal has expressed serious concern over PHE department in Jammu continuing to be topless in absence of a Chief Engineer for a very long time now. The result has been that the working of the department is suffering.
In a press statement issued here today, general secretary of the party Baldev Sharma has said that commercial connection for water are to be sanctioned by the chief engineer as per the order of the cabinet. In the absence of Chief Engineer, applications for water connections for commercial purposes are lying unattended for several months.
He has demanded early appointment of a Chief Engineer in the PHE to clear the backlog as well as for smooth functioning of the department.
