HC disposes petitions about Katra-Sanjichhat chopper service | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Apr 27: High court judge, Justice Sunil Hali today disposed of three appeals filedagainst the March 31, 2011, order of Reasi district judge. The appeals were filed by Deccan Charters Ltd, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board and M/S Global Vectra Helicorps Ltd.The shrine board invited tenders from registered aviation companies having a fleet of minimum two air worthy light helicopters, endorsed on its non-scheduled operators permit, for flight operation in the air space of J&K from Katra to Sanjichhat and back, utilizing helicopters at Katra and Sanjichhat on leave and license basis for a period of three consecutive years from April 2011 to March 31, 2014. At the time of evaluation of the technical bid, as Deccan Charters Ltd was found to be ineligible, it filed a civil suit before the Reasi district judge. Against his order, three appeals were filed in high court which were disposed of.Justice Hali, however, allowed the appeal filed by Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board and set aside the order of trial court and directed it to hear injunctions applications afresh after considering all the issues. It was further provided that M/s Global Vectra Helicorps Ltd and M/s Pawan Hans Helicopter Ltd should be permitted to operate the services in pursuance to their allotment. It would, however, be subject to the outcome of the directions which might be passed by the trial court after hearing the parties. It was provided that the trial court would proceed in the matter influenced by any observations made in these appeals. High Courtdirected the parties to appear before the trial court on May 5, 2011.
