Sunidhi spell binds with ‘Ek Kahani Yeh Bhi’

Jammu, Apr 27 KL Saigal Hall reverberated to thunderous applause as the jam packed audience gave standing ovation to Sunidhi Sharma, a solo performer of an act based on the Mannu Bhandari’s life and voyage through many hardships as faced by the young girl into her adolescent an later into womanship.
Samooh Theater Group that presented Mannu Bhandari’s short story formation of ‘Ek Kahani Yeh Bhi’ instilled a rapt attention from the jam packed audience as Sunidhi spell bound.
The little girl’s acting prowess was up to mark as per her age that promised about a new generation actor in making on Jammu and Kashmir’s theatre panorama.
The play was directed by Ravinder Sharma which was very clinically designed through apt handling of lighting and music that generated great interest among the audience.
Divya Kohil rendered the music while lights were handled by Vikram Khatri and sets was also designed by him. Costumes were by Kanika Sharma
In the earlier shift, Natraj Natya Kunj presented Kumar A Bharti’s Dogri play Adhoori Trishna which satirically hit at the changing human ideologue vis-à-vis its paying of obeisance to the gods.
How the gods themselves speak about the irony of human beings distracting the entire humanity was the gist of the play that was mainly based on the comedy track.
All the actors impressed with their piece of work assigned to them and were able in bringing out a compact performance.
The play was directed by Aaditya Bharti while the onstage credentials included Kanav Sharma as Pujari, Sandeep Thakur as Narad, Sunny Singh as Krishana while Bhajan Mandli included Satpal Sharma, Raman Bakshi and Tejan Bharti.
Deepak Kumar, Director Rangyug, the chief guest on the occasion while praising the initiative taken by Shivani and Lakshya lauded Vikram Sharma, the organizer for conducting a unique show of its own.
He also laid stress on promoting the young talent so that the flourishing drama of the state may get a new and unique idiom.
The guest of honour on the occasion, Geetika Kohli, a poetess of international repute presented her heartfelt admiration towards the attempt envisaged by the organisors and praised all the performers for putting up a great show.
