| 'Dilution of Dogra certificate to be resisted ' | | | Jammu , April 27
Dogras in the region comprising Jammu province and parts of Punjab and Himachal Pradesh constitute that social group in the country that could be compared with any martial race in the world. Dogras are very brave people and that their contribution to the Army and the defense of the country has all along been splended and spectacular. The unnecessary controversary on the Dogra certificate issue is unwarranted and uncalled for. Early Times has for the last one month carried a series on Dogra certificate issue and has received tremendous support in this regard and this will continue till its logical conclusion. Some of the views as given below.

I fully support the Dogra certificate. The issue of Dogra certificate, which has snow balled into a major controversy in the state and further sharpened the regional angularities. The slogan for Dogra certificate is gathering tremendous support. One should think twice before commenting on this issue.

Being a woman, I endorse this certificate as this gives relaxation to youth of Jammu province to get in central paramilitary forces and Army. This is an non-issue and some vested elements are raising the fingers on this issue. Why Govt,. Is not coming out with a statement which rather gives air to such rumours. Jammu people will be ready for another agitation, if anything is going to dilute this certificate

I, do support it and I think every Jammuite should support it and infact be ready to take on the government if in case they try to scum to the pressure of some extremist groups. As they always do but they should know that this is our right we have been getting in earlier we will get it in future also. Dogra are brave people and can take on those such elements who are hell bent upon to disturb peace in the state.
