CS suggests written tests for SSRB selections | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, April 28: Chief Secretary, Madhav Lal today asked the Subordinate Services Recruitment Board (SSRB) to speed up the process of recruitment in a transparent manner. He also advised the agency to introduce written tests for screening for the posts where the number of candidates is very large. Chairing a meeting to review the functioning of the Board here today, the Chief Secretary asked the board to consider adoption of written tests for the posts which generally attract large number of candidates. He also advised the board to introduce computer tests for posts where typing skills are required. For this, he asked for equipping the board with computers and relevant softwares. The Chief Secretary also asked for reviewing SRO-1500 which provides for exceptional qualification while making selections. The meeting was attended, among others, by Commissioner-Secretary, GAD, M S Khan, Chairman, SSRB Bhagat and other officers.
