Bus Stand shopkeepers hail multi-level parking complexes in city | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, April 28: Both associations of the shopkeepers of the General Bus Stand Jammu have hailed the approval of the plan by the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for setting up of the three multi level parking complexes in Jammu. They have particularly welcomed the CM`s nod to Rs 130 crore parking complex at Jammu Bus Stand with the capacity for parking 1485 buses and cars. A meeting of the two associations held here today under the chairmanship of Rakesh Abrol and attended by Madhu Sharma, and Rakesh Tak- presidents of the two associations Narinder Sharma and Rajesh Gupat Gen secretaries, Surinder Gupta – senior vice- President, Rakesh Gandotra Vice- President and Inderjeet Sharma Vice- President expressed their thanks to Omar Abdullah and Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand, MoS Housing and urban Development Nasir Wani , vice- chairman JDA Viond Sharma for making this dream project a reality. Addressing the meeting, Madhu Sharma said that the Govt has set at rest the uncertainty over continuing of the bus stand at present location by giving nod to the project of multi- tier parking stand at General Bus Stand. They Shopkeepers further demanded that the idle buses should be parked at separate stands, while the bus stand should serve terminus point of buses on various routes.
